Motorola Edge 20 series obtains specifications and real-time image certification.
The Motorola Edge 20 series will be launched soon, and there are reports that it will be officially released at the end of this month. Before this, the new Motorola flagship product has been rapidly obtaining the necessary certifications. These devices were recently discovered on the Chinese certification website TENAA, with key specifications and real-time images. Two new unreleased Motorola phones with models XT2143-1 and XT2153-1 appeared on TENAA. Judging from the listed specifications, they appear to be Motorola Edge 20 (Berlin) and Edge 20 Pro (PStar), respectively.
Motorola Edge 20: specifications and live images
According to the TENAA entry, the Motorola XT2143-1, the Vanilla Edge 20, will be equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The list states that the device’s processor runs at a maximum frequency of 2.4GHz. This may be Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G, as revealed by previous leaks. The phone will be available in 6GB, 8GB and 12GB RAM versions, and 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage options. It will run Android 11 out of the box.
The accompanying image also confirms a 108-megapixel camera on the back, capable of 4K video recording. Previous leaks indicate that it will be equipped with a 16-megapixel ultra-wide and macro camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. The latter provides 3x optical zoom. The device is equipped with a 3,760mAh battery, which Motorola can sell as 4,000mAh.
Motorola Edge 20 will be available in various colors green, white, black, silver, blue and grey. The phone measures 163.5×76.2×7.1 mm and weighs 165 grams. All in all, the specifications mentioned in the TENAA entry confirm what the previous leaks claimed.
China’s TENAA also certified the Motorola XT2153-1, which should arrive as an Edge 20 Pro. The device shares some specifications with vanilla Edge 20, including display, memory configuration and rear camera array. However, it is said that its 8-megapixel telephoto lens can achieve 10x optical zoom.
There are some other notable differences. The CPU frequency is 3.2GHz. Therefore, as claimed by previous leaks, it should be Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. It also has a larger 4,230mAh battery (advertised as 4,500mAh). The list reiterated what was previously disclosed.
Of course, Motorola Edge 20 Pro will be bigger than Edge 20. It measures 163.3×76.1×7.9 mm and weighs 190 grams. The device will also provide six color options-black, green, blue, pink, silver and grey.
The Motorola Edge 20 series also has a third model. The device, code-named Kyoto, will arrive as the Motorola Edge 20 Lite. Expect More information to arrive before the launch.
