It is reported that Apple’s Apple Watch Series 7 has added body temperature detection and supports “fertility tracking” and “fever tracking.”

Apple is developing a series of new health-related Apple Watch sensors, including blood pressure monitors and clinical thermometers.
Among them, the clinical thermometer function, as well as an improved heartbeat and sleep tracking system, will appear in next year’s Apple Watch smartwatch. In the future, Apple also plans to make its smartwatch able to detect sleep apnea, provide medical guidance for low blood oxygen levels, and perhaps detect diabetes.

Apple’s more ambitious health project will not appear on Apple Watch 7. It is expected that Apple will release Apple Watch 7 series products in the next few weeks. This series of watches will not integrate new health sensors, and the focus of its update is faster performance and new design.

Clinical thermometer function, although one use is “fertility tracking,” Apple may also want to add a “fever tracking” function. As for the sphygmomanometer function, its usefulness has been questioned by some Apple employees.
The above information comes from Apple’s internal documents and company employees. But these people also pointed out that any of these features may change before it is launched or never launched.
But in some case, there are plenty of signs that Apple’s health strategy is mainly focused on new smartwatch features. For example, there have been rumors for many years that Apple smartwatches can monitor blood sugar. In May of this year, Apple even sent a questionnaire to users.

In addition to the planned new features, Apple pushes the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to approve updates to its existing Apple Watch health features. One of the updates allows people diagnosed with atrial fibrillation to use their Apple Watch. Follow up on the condition.
