Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon review
Lenovo is a trusted brand in the computing field, and their Yoga laptop is the best among them, offering stylish, high-quality build quality and powerful features. Competing with high-end computers such as Dell XPS 13 and HP Elite Dragonfly G2, Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon comes with a Windows 10 that provides everything you might need at a more affordable price. Admittedly, it is a streamlined option without a touch screen or fingerprint sensor, but it looks and feels the same in most other areas despite this.
Not only is it ultra-portable, but it is also one of the best student laptops, because although it looks like an advanced PC, it doesn’t actually cost much, and it’s very suitable for productivity tasks.
Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon was launched in March 2021 and can now be purchased from Lenovo. The price starts at £720 in the UK. The basic version is equipped with an 11th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. In Australia, prices start from A$1,799. This laptop is currently not available in the United States.
Although it is not full of complicated functions, Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon still has many advantages. It weighs less than 1 kg and has undergone rigorous durability tests. Powered by the 11th generation Intel Core processor, you can expect great performance, and the webcam has facial recognition for extra security.
Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon is ultra-lightweight and an ideal laptop to carry around, whether it’s going to university or completing work during commuting-it weighs less than 1 kg and measures approximately -14.9 x 296.9 x 208.55 mm. You can even pack it into a small backpack because it is about the size of an A4 notepad.
This laptop is matte moon white and looks very smart. Because it is white, I am worried that it will be stained with dirt and grime after having it for a period of time, but having said that, the smooth coating does not seem to be stained with fingerprints at all during the test. This is very rare.
As the name suggests, the chassis is made of high-strength carbon fiber, so considering that this is a lightweight laptop, it is not fragile at all. It actually feels very sturdy and durable, and I don’t worry about it being hit when I go out.
The screen-to-body ratio is 91%, and the frame is very thin, which makes this PC look much more expensive than the actual price. Elegance and fashion are the words I use to describe the overall beauty of Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon.
The keyboard feels solid and smooth when typing. It has keys with 1.0 mm travel. These keys are quiet and respond well to every stroke. I never really found myself making a typo on it. Likewise, the touchpad is large and accurate, and both left and right clicks are accurate.
