Note for the flashing party, LG announced that it would close the bootloader unlocking service of mobile phones at the end of 2021
Earlier this year, LG officially announced its withdrawal from the smartphone market. It assured mobile phone users that it would continue to provide software updates for certain devices, but only recently launched phones.
For users of older LG phones, unlocking the bootloader and installing a custom ROM is the only way to get an updated Android version.
However, LG announced that it would close its bootloader unlocking service at the end of the year.
