Meizu Technology officially released its 18th-anniversary flagship mobile phone-Meizu 18 series, on March 3. Meizu has continued its previous product strategy and launched two models of 18 and 18 Pro, both of which are equipped with flagship-level hardware configurations. Not only are they equipped with the top Snapdragon 888 processor as standard, but also the entire system is equipped with a 2K/120Hz High specification display.
Unfortunately, the Meizu 18 series could not support 2K/120Hz at the same time before. Users can only choose between 2K/60Hz and 1080P/120Hz, and can’t take into account the high picture and high smooth effect at the same time. However, now is the good news.
Last night, Meizu Technology Marketing Director Wan Zhiqiang revealed on Weibo that engineers have been working overtime to debug the 2K+120 frame dual-open mode. Currently, the engineering machine has achieved dual-open mode, and it is expected to start the dual-open early adopter mode in the near future, bringing high dynamics Super smooth screen experience. This also verified Meizu’s famous saying: Everything can be OTA.
Last year, Meizu repeatedly pushed new feature updates on the 17 series models. It has pushed the 120-frame high-refresh-rate early adopter mode, MEMC dynamic frame interpolation compensation technology, DC dimming, 129° super wide-angle, and screen fingerprint blindness. Multiple functions such as solution, smart keeping the screen always on, etc. have also made many users call “I feel like using a new mobile phone every day.”
This time, the 2K/120Hz dual-open mode is even more epic. Compared with the 1080P screen, the 2K screen has a higher resolution, and the displayed picture will be more refined and more detailed. At the same time, the 120Hz refresh rate is comparable. Compared with 60Hz, it has a qualitative change. The picture displayed per second can be doubled, directly pulling the display effect to a new height.
However, some netizens said that 2K/120Hz is too costly, and hope that Meizu can try to launch a 2K/90Hz mode to meet the needs of other users by taking into account the display effect and battery life.
For Meizu, where everything can be OTA, these are not difficult things.
