Redmi 10 rendering, specifications, price leaks: is it worth upgrading from Redmi 9?
Redmi 9 is one of Xiaomi’s best budget smartphones in 2020. This smartphone is equipped with quad cameras and MediaTek’s Helio G80 chipset, and the price is only 139 Euros. As the specifications and renderings of the upcoming Redmi 10 have been leaked, Xiaomi hopes to build more on a powerful budget smartphone. Moreover, from the appearance point of view, Redmi 10 is worth upgrading compared to last year’s Redmi 9.
The smartphone was leaked by Singapore retailer Courts (link has now been deleted) and was discovered by Ishan Agarwal and Mukul Sharma. According to the whistleblower, Redmi 10 will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 chipset launched only a month ago. It is an eight-core chipset with two high-performance A75 cores and six A55 cores. However, 5G is not supported, which is somewhat expected at this price point.
In appearance, Redmi 10 will be a major upgrade from last year’s Redmi 9’s 6.53-inch 60Hz LCD panel. This year’s Redmi smartphone will use a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Moreover, it can be seen from the rendering that the smartphone’s design is better than before.
In addition to better internal and external structures, it is said that this phone is also equipped with a 50MP main shooter. In contrast, Redmi 9 is equipped with a 13MP main lens as this is the budget JN1 50MP camera sensor that Samsung launched earlier this year. As the three rear sensors are expected to be the same: an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and two 2MP sensors for macro and portrait shooting.
In addition, it is said that Redmi 10 is equipped with Mali-G52 MC2 GPU, 5,000mAh battery, and supports 18W fast wired charging. This phone may have three variants: 3GB/64GB, 4GB/64GB, and 6GB/128GB.
There is no news about pricing yet. However, the high-end model (6GB/128GB) is listed on Courts at SGD 249, which is approximately US$185/EUR 159. Therefore, the price of the entry version is expected to be the same, which is about 139 euros.
