Oppo Watch 2 with snapdragon 4100 chipset
Oppo today released its second-generation Oppo Watch 2 smartwatch. It is the direct successor to Oppo Watch announced last year. It will be available in two sizes, 42 mm and 46 mm, supporting eSim.
Oppo Watch 2 is equipped with Snapdragon 4100 chipset and Apollo 4s processor customized by Ambiq (via GSMArena). This smartwatch has a curved AMOLED panel of 326 PPI and a refresh rate of 60Hz. The 42mm has a 1.75-inch display, just like its predecessor; it has two buttons on the side to control the watch.
Watch 2 will also have 24-hour heart rate tracking and SP02 (blood oxygen) monitor, sleep analysis, pressure monitoring, and more built-in functions. There are more than 100 sports modes, the watch’s waterproof rating is 5 ATM, and there is a GPS for better tracking.
When connected to the battery, the 46mm model can be used for up to 4 days on a single charge, and it can be extended to 16 days in the power-saving mode. VOOC 2.0 fast charging is available, which can be used for a whole day in just 10 minutes.
Oppo Watch 2 is now accepting pre-orders and will start shipping on August 6, but only in China. The 42mm Bluetooth version is priced at approximately US$200, while the eSim version is priced at US$230. The 46mm eSim model costs approximately US$310.
Oppo Watch 2 is currently only released in China. Unfortunately, we don’t know when it will be available in other markets around the world. Hope that Oppo will announce its plan in the next few days. The Chinese version will run ColorOS based on Android 8.1, just like the original Oppo Watch. The Bluetooth-only version is only available for the smaller 42mm model, while the eSim variant will be available in two sizes.
