DuckStation PS1 emulator is now available for Xbox Series X and S

Game emulators have been around for a long time and are usually designed to allow retro games that are no longer made to be played on other platforms. DuckStation is one of the more popular simulators today; it can simulate PS1 games on other platforms. The simulator is designed to provide users with playability, speed, and long-term maintainability.
DuckStation has now been ported to the current generation of Xbox Series X and S game consoles. When running on Xbox consoles, DuckStation can take advantage of the extra features of the console to boost classic games by 16 times. Upgrading means a much higher resolution than anyone who played the game on the original console will remember.
The video you can see below has appeared online, showing DuckStation running on the new Xbox console at native 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. When the emulator is running on a new Xbox console, players can also enable true color rendering.
Enabling this feature will turn off the jitter effect used for video games on the original PlayStation console. Users can also enable texture filtering to smooth the texture when the 3D object is zoomed in. Xbox gamers can also fix texture distortions, which was common in original PlayStation games.

Users are warned that enabling some of these features will require powerful processing power from the console. However, the processor’s power does not seem to put pressure on the Xbox Series S seen in the video. It’s worth noting that running the original PlayStation game at 60 frames per second may cause problems with some games. Thankfully, the game can run at its original frame rate.
