Google’s cheap Pixel 5a 5G is rumored to arrive later this month
Google’s Pixel 5a 5G may be only a few weeks away from going on sale, although you may want to ease your excitement a bit because this is unlikely to be a shocking phone. On the contrary, expect a moderate update to the existing Pixel 4a 5G, although this is not a bad thing because Google’s A-series devices are always pleasant to use.
Pixel 5a 5G also looks like it will appear within a year after the launch of Pixel 4a 5G. The device appeared on November 5, 2020. If the rumors from Android Police are true, Google plans to launch 5a 5G around August 26, although the large-scale launch of the phone may be a little slower than this.
The design should be very close to Pixel 4a 5G. Internet detective Jon Prosser claims to have a slightly larger 6.4-inch display, possibly up to 90hz. Prosser’s statement described the screen technology as “60hz-mandatory 90Hz”, but no one seemed to know what he was doing. Maybe it’s an experimental feature that Google wants to test before rolling out to more users? Time will tell us.
This phone can share the Pixel 5’s Snapdragon 765. It may be the last time we have seen one of the non-Google processors in one of the phones. That’s because the company intends to switch to producing its chips, just as Apple and Samsung do for their devices. The specifications also hint at 6GB of RAM and a 4,650mAh battery. Also, look forward to the headphone jack.
Well, it’s not clear yet what the pricing of this new phone will be. The existing Pixel 4a 5G is priced at £499, so we expect it to be similar. This is not a bad price; it can bring you excellent download speed and Google’s super-clean version of Android, which may require years of updates and support. We started early and suggested that this could be the perfect phone for returning to school and about to start college or university courses. Coupled with the cheap 5G contract from Three, you will enjoy a cost-effective and compact smartphone.
