However, Lau’s statement indicated that this phone will initially only be released in India.

However, Lau’s comments suggest that the phone will be close to the mid-range market.
Lau said that smartphones will provide 5G support, and talked about the 9R gaming experience. The OnePlus CEO stated that the company wants to provide a “fast and smooth experience” for “intensive gaming.” References such as “smooth experience” and “smooth scrolling” indicate that OnePlus will be displayed on the phone at 90 Hz or faster. People believe that the emphasis on gaming experience is marketing rather than hardware.
The Snapdragon 865 processor released last year is expected to become the core of OnePlus 9R. It seems that this may provide an experience that lags behind 2021 gaming phones. In the recently launched Asus ROG Phone 5, the RAM option that comes with the Snapdragon 888 processor can be expanded up to 18 GB.
